Text Box: Greetings: I want to thank those members who helped out on the 8th with the road ditch cleanup. We had a great turnout which made it go quickly. Just a quick reminder of the Veterans Supper on the 9th of November. Lets have a good showing of support from the SAL that evening. Sign up at the bar if you would like to attend. The jacket order was sent in and I should have them in my hands at our next meeting. Thanks to those who ordered them. Wear them with pride for such a great organization. Mark your calendars for Saturday, January 16th for the SAL Christmas Party. We will need to have a head count before January 1st. Social hour will start at 5 pm in the fireside room, with dinner around 6 pm and karaoke to follow at 7:30 with Northern Stars Entertainment with Paul and Angie in the lounge. I also plan on presenting the SAL Member of the Year award that night. Saturday, November 14th is the senior citizens poultry bingo. We will be needing members to help out with this event. If you are able to volunteer for this, please let me know. The hours will be from 1 to 4:00 pm in the dining room. We are currently on our way to making our 2010 goal. If you haven't paid your dues, please do so and if you know of anyone that is eligible, please sign them up. 2010 dues are $10.00 under 18 and Dual, and $12.00 for over 18. Please stop by the Legion or send to New London S.A.L., P.O. Box 398, New London, MN 56273. I have posted the name and dates on the bulletin board for the meat raffles. Thanks to those who help out. Our next meeting will be held on Monday, November 2nd at 7:00 in the fireside room at the New London Legion. God bless our troops that are serving our country home and abroad and our veterans.
